and studies sites, space organizing techniques, and scenery factors
regarding the temples. By doing this, it seeks to find out the identity
of traditional Korean temples, to use the results to help recover

to provide guidelines of researching the traditional landscape architecture.

such as: making the basic plan of the University¡¯s Gyeongju Campus;
operation of a seedbed for tourism on Seorak Mt.; making a proposal
of operation and management of forests in Ssanggye Temple; making
a basic planning of Doseon Temple; research of symbolic meanings of
the scenery of Bulguk Temple; analysis of environment in Bongeun Temple;
publication of theses regarding temple scenery; analysis of visual
structures used in traditional temples; making the basic planning
of Yeonheung Temple in Younggwang and of Haelim Temple in Busan, and
so on.
It plans to hold a scientific forum regularly, to publish a collection
